Binary package hint: alsa-base
I just installed ubuntu a couple of days ago and haven't been able to
get sound working. I've tried some documentation online (to include
something in the ubuntu forums). Downloaded alsa and installed from
source and I'm still having problems. The system recognizes the card,
I'm able to play audio files, but nothing comes out of the speakers or
headphones.
I'll attach the outputs required for audio bugs reports.
