I set up Google as an Online Account, then open Empathy. If the status under the top right menu (Gnome Shell) is not set to "Available" I get prmpted for my Gmail password. However despite entering it correctly the account will no connect. If I change the status to "Available and re-launch Empathy it connects straight away.
