I'm testing Gutsy tribe 1, also. I tried to reproduce this bug, but I wasn't able to do so. The image I used is http://lists.drupal.org/archives/development/2002-12/pngGvcdQzDn8i.png May be your image is corrupted, please provide more info. Thanks.
