Hmm. Well, I cannot get this specific issue to reproduce with the method I described before, but I got a very similar behavior when I clicked on the "Videos" section on the Dash home. However, I'm reporting that as a new bug (Bug #977310), because, as I said before, I'm not an expert in the kernel area. Also, for what it's worth, I expeirenced similar issues in Oneiric when, while watching a video, the screen would go to text, have somthing about the CrystalHD driver, and I would manually have to switch back over to the Xorg session using the CTRL+ALT+F7 combo. I still have to do that for these issues, too. Also, the driver stalls mostly every time I use it.
