This happens all the time, even in Lucid. I have latest kernel in precise. It is not kernel issue, it is in defaults, there is low swappiness '/proc/sys/vm/swappiness'
If you have 1 GB of ram, it is okay, I think I have to just disable swap, but swappiness should somehow depend on your size of RAM -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/975661 Title: Linux swaps way too much in default To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/975661/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
