Hi Christopher,

Here's what I observed on this system.

I installed Ubuntu 11.10, on this I'm able to switch VTs without any
problems.

I also installed Ubuntu Precise (latest daily image as of today).
Unfortunately on this one the system is unable to boot :( it kernel-
panics and I get a blinking caps lock indicator. It has this even when
launching the installation LiveCD; I had to use the alternate installer.

I tried a 3.4rc2 mainline kernel while I had the Ubuntu 11.10
installation on, and it also kernel-panics.

I probably need to file a new bug for the kernel panic, once I get
through that hurdle I can see if the vt problem is still there (based on
my observation with 11.10 and kernel 3.0.0-12.20, I hope not!).

Putting back to New.
