Hey Janne! Thanks for your answer. I just created an account to clearify this issue as my "personal it-support" isn't around. :)
I rechecked everything. The issue doesn't have anything to do with video playing. It always happens after ten minutes without user-interaction. Log-out and login again doesn't help, but login into another account helps. And the version was a typo. I'm using an up-to-date Xubuntu 11.10 - oneiric. Using the command you suggested, power manager is still running. And I found that the power manager is set to put the display to sleep after ten minutes. So I'll try to turn this off and see if everything works. But even if - the sound problem because of putting the display to sleep is strange. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/975507 Title: after ten minutes screen is turned off -> no sound To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-power-manager/+bug/975507/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
