The .deb file that you attached to this bug installed correctly on my system, with no errors. I am running Ubuntu 12.04 Precise beta 2 with latest updates, and the same version of Software Center as in your report.
Could you please open a terminal window, navigate to the folder that contains this .deb file and install if from the command line as shown: $ software-center dupeguru-se_3.4.0_amd64.deb And attach any output that you see in the terminal? Also, please let us know if you were able to successfully install this deb file.
