It is fairly known bug and was solutioned for example here:

and here is as NEW, it is over two years old :
http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=103076 and still it is broken. (KDE 3.5.7)
The bug is in the Akregator when i will open new article in a tab and
there is javascript-method for new window/tab. The left click is
inactive and this is bad. I can open it only throught right click and
select - Open in new window (or middle-click).
