Public bug reported:

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 (64bit) with Cinnamon and Unity. No matter that
I'm in Cinnamon or Unity most FN keys don't work properly and I get an
atkbd error:

[ 4240.372149] atkbd serio0: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xe0
on isa0060/serio0).
[ 4240.372159] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e060 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 4240.669149] atkbd serio0: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xe0
on isa0060/serio0).
[ 4240.669159] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e060 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 4266.842141] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e061 <keycode>' to make it known.
[ 4266.858531] atkbd serio0: Unknown key released (translated set 2, code 0xe1
on isa0060/serio0).
[ 4266.858542] atkbd serio0: Use 'setkeycodes e061 <keycode>' to make it known.

(there are more of this errors, almost with all keys which have some FN
keys related to them throw out this error, even Pg Up and Pg Dn and this
also happens, for example with Pg Up even if I don't press Fn key and Pg
Up, just Pg Up).

And the second issue is, I've set in power management that if I close
the lid to don't do anything, but still my monitor goes blank. This
doesn't happen in for example openSUSE 12.1. The main issue with this is
that if I connect an external monitor, also the external one has no
signal when I close the lid or goes blank, which shouldn't happen.
