System has been 100% stable. No thunderbird lock-ups or dropouts. No funnies in Firefox. I rebooted about 4 days ago. I just expect never to have to reboot a PC having used Unix and now Linux for about 15 years. I know windows users are happy if they lockup and reboot without losing their work, but this is not Windows and it is most unusual to get this type of problem with Linux/Unix. Will get back to you if I get a repeat of the problems or any further pointers to what happened
