Public bug reported:

Greetings,
I got to manage an Asus Eee 1016PG and found it with Ubuntu/Maverick (10.10)
installed.

2.6.35-28-generic #50-Ubuntu SMP Fri Mar 18 19:00:26 UTC 2011 i686
GNU/Linux

I disabled sources for medibuntu and some company mirror.
The upgrade hangs with libpam-module directly after configuring. The problem is
reproducable.

.../libpam-modules_1.1.1-4ubuntu2.4_i386.deb) ...
Entpacke Ersatz für libpam-modules ...

(hangs)
There is no way to kill dpkg with signal 9 or 15. Killing apt-get makes it
necessary to remove the lock and run "dpkg --configure -a" each time. Attaching
the process with gdb as root makes it inresponsible as well.

thanks for your help,
kardan
