Public bug reported:

after friday's update, Compiz is having a major segfault, rendering the desktop 
session useless.
(always handy keeping gnome-classic-no effects around ;-) )

i'll attach the terminal output of "compiz --replace"

i tested it with both the "unity" and the "standard" profile, result is
the same, so i don't think it's Unity's fault.
