Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: gnome-cups-manager
If you want to make printer connected to your Ubuntu box accessible by
another computers on LAN, you are forced either to edit cups
configuration files by hand or install and configure samba manually. On
the other hand, if you want to share your files, all you have to do is
to right click directory in nautilus, then decide whether you want to
expose it via NFS or SMB and Ubuntu does the rest for you. Printer
sharing shoud be made similarly simple - you shoud only right-click
printer in gnome-cups-manager, choose Sharing, then protocol (IPP or SMB
or both) and Ubuntu shoul again do the rest for you.
** Affects: gnome-cups-manager (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
