Hi,
As we are past feature freeze, you need a FFe to get the new version in Ubuntu.
You can find instructions at
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess#FeatureFreeze_for_new_upstream_versions.
Another solution would be to sync 1.09a-3, that fixes the FTBFS and don't
require a FFe.
