Tried 12.04 beta without success: Booting from the live CD doesn't get the nvidia drivers so testing isn't possible this way (unless you know an easy way to do this).
The nouveau drivers correctly detected the external monitor but the live CD media player couldn't play any video media I possess so couldn't be tested against bug # 910973 (perhaps an argument for including some test files in the distro?). The live CD could not find any networks on my macbookpro so it is likely that there is something not quite right about the network setup / drivers. So no networks => no apport reporting... On the plus side the nouveau driver seemed to be doing a better job than I remember although noticibly slower / clunkier for compositing things. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/908937 Title: nividia / external monitor / macbook pro To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/908937/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
