Hi Arthur, This is not a bug, it's a feature request. A lot of person listen to TV when minimized. You just have to mute before minimizing.
If you keep me-tv open just to record program, you should try the new version 1.4.0 form the PPA<https://launchpad.net/~me-tv-development/+archive/ppa>. This version is separate in two, the server and the client. You can start the server in background to record your program and start the client only when you want to watch live TV.
