Thanks for reporting this issue.
Ubuntu Karmic (9.10) has now reached end of life so it is a bit hard to
tell whether 1.7.0 was included or not. However, later Ubuntu releases
include newer versions (Ubuntu 10.04 has 1.8.1-1, and Ubuntu Precise has
the latest version) so I assume this bug can be closed.
