Why should the compiler warn if a string literal looks like a windows
path? It's valid C# and I don't think there is a reliable way to
determine if it's really used as a path or only looks like one by
accident.

If you still think this should be done please file the bug at
http://bugzilla.ximian.com as it's a feature request in upstream code.
