I have the same problem. I don't know how to give you output from Java, but I think the Firefox java plugin version is 1.0. I can, however, tell you how to reproduce the problem.
1. Log onto Ubuntu Feisty Fawn. 2. Open Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.3 3. In the address bar, type "www.runescape.com". 4. Click the large button that says "Play Runescape (Existing User)"; the fact that you have no account does not matter, since you will not reach the page that would normally allow a user to enter their name and password. 5. Click either the "Low Detail" sign , or the "High Detail" sign. 6. Click either "Choose best free world for me" or "Choose best members world for me". Again, since you will net reach the page that would normally allow a user to enter their name as password, it doesn't matter. 7. Wait for page to load. It will not. I get the top part of the interface that includes the Jagex sign, the "Main Menu", "World Select", "World Map", and "Rules" links, and the search feature. Under that, it's all a cream (white) screen. A few seconds later, the "Error loading applet" words appear. Despite downloading every java plugin I thought would help, I still get this. -- linux feisty java load error https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/106692 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
