1) Currently I have little time available. Would my testing help to improve the support of the entire Toshiba series, or only that Tecra M3? The former would encourage me more.
2) As I put enough effort to get that laptop silent under Ubuntu (by fiddling around with the ACPI related settings), I hesitate to upgrade, but it seems I would have to, as the "live CD" does not support hibernate. Would hibernation work if I use a) a USB drive and b) enable the persistency part of that live system (virtual filesystem in one file on the the FAT32 USB drive). 3) If a real installation is unavoidable, I would have to change the disk partitions to add a new partition for the new system but still keep the old one (in which I invested the configuration efforts, which I do not want to lose). -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/750943 Title: Hibernation fails on Toshiba Tecra M3. hci0 urb f24b7080 failed to resubmit (1) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/750943/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
