Hi, I'm not sure but this might be related to this debian bug:

Looking at the patch in this bug I edited my local 
/usr/share/initramfs-tools/hook-functions file and added hid-logitech-dj on 
line 416
then I did:
sudo update-initramfs -u

After a restart, my m505 mouse was correctly working without having to
replug the receiver. Still this might be a one time luck. I'll comment
again if this stops working later on.
