Public bug reported:

When starting up my system the network manager seems to be connected to
the network, but I can't reach the internet and I can't ping any web
address.

There is a modification that i made with:

echo "nameserver 8.8.8.8" | sudo tee /etc/resolv.conf > /dev/null

in an attempt to resolve the issue. This did nothing, but you may find
it in the files.

The problem is with my system, because my roommate can connect on his
Windows machine.

As a workaround I have to re enable networking or to restart my
connection (or both).
