Public bug reported:

This is my first experience with me-tv.
I'm on ubuntu 12.04.
My TV hardware seems to be properly recognised:

dmesg | grep dvb
[ 5.168753] dvb-usb: found a 'Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI' in cold state,
will try to load a firmware
[ 5.223385] dvb-usb: downloading firmware from file 'dvb-usb-az6027-03.fw'
[ 5.297733] dvb-usb: found a 'Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI' in warm state.
[ 5.297820] dvb-usb: will pass the complete MPEG2 transport stream to the
software demuxer.
[ 7.502811] dvb-usb: schedule remote query interval to 400 msecs.
[ 7.502814] dvb-usb: Technisat SkyStar USB 2 HD CI successfully initialized
and connected.
[ 7.502838] usbcore: registered new interface driver dvb_usb_az6027

but when starting me-tv it spits out some messages and then it hangs:
