I use Ubuntu 12.04 ; unity-greeter 0.2.8-0ubuntu1 I meant that there is no wallpaper at the start, just when the login screen appears (~0.5 sec). I think the wallpaper should have been preloaded before.
Then the default wallpaper is displayed (~0.5 sec) and finally my wallpaper is displayed.
