hi bryce
sorry for my english...I will try to explain what I mean:
1. I installed Ubuntu 12.04 i386 beta2 from CD image downloaded on
april14th 2012
2. my previous system was ubuntu 11.10 and tried to update to 12.04
directly by update manager , but something was wrong because the
system didn't start correctly (no icons on desktop...no command
available). so i thought to download cd image.
3. got installation on a second partition (the first one was that
above described..) I run diagnostic routine and system advised me
about the bug
4. now I have installed again ubuntu 12.04 beta 2 erasing all existing
parttions and it seems to run correctly. but I didn't run
diagnostics...only apps...
Ibefore #3, after installation from cd and before the heavy update
(about 600 files and 400 MB of space) I read one advise, about Nvidia
drivers not updated, on the right top of the screen. the attempt on
updating drivers caused what described on item #2.
hope to have better explained what I mean
many thanks
