Not sure how, but on eo fmy outehr user accounts (that was set up by Samba &
accessed by FTP) had a form of Chinese selectted for desired language (zh-Ch?).
All the chacahters for sytem settins are in zh Chinese - the best sources list
finally came up and I selected a local mirror. I might as well just re-donload
the newest release..
