Jamie as you may have read, the problem is not about the system wide
connections, but about the user specific ones. And for your analogy i
must disagree, the differences to /etc/shadow ist that it contains
encrypted passwords, where NM stores them in clear text.

Anyhow do you have any clue how to store user specific connections in
the home directory again on precise?
