** Summary changed:

- Suspend/Hibernate not working / was flawless in 10.10
+ Suspend not working / was flawless in 10.10

** Description changed:

- Since upgrading to 11.04 (from 10.10) neither suspend nor hibernate are
- working any more.
+ Since upgrading to 11.04 (from 10.10) neither suspend is not working any
+ more.

The system just doesn't power down, i.e. power LED is ON, fans are rotating
and the monitor doesn't power off.
At that stage no input is possible any more, keyboard and mouse are non
functional.
I have to reset or shutdown the computer with the hard keys.
After booting, the sound card (Soundblaster Audigy) is muted. (when booting
from powered off state it isn't muted).

I tried to do some self-debugging using the guidelines I found here:
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKernelSuspendHibernateResume
- Following the instructions, I found that neither suspending nor hibernating
from text mode shows anything on the screen.
- Using the instructions for per-subsystem hibernate testing I was able to
gather some info.
+ Following the instructions, I found suspending from text mode shows nothing
on the screen.
+
Find it attached to this bug report.

- As suspend/hibernate worked in 10.10, this is a regression.
-
- Please help.
- I'll gladly submit further information if needed.
