It appears not to be occurring on 11.10 with the 64-bit flash plugin. Have not tried the 32-bit flash plugin. My recollection is that the bug went away when I started using the 64-bit flash beta a couple years ago. I'll try downgrading to the current 32-bit flash plugin and see if it comes back.
