** Description changed:

  On my Dell Latitude E5520 (Sandy Bridge) a reboot always hangs while
  shutting down. If I just shutdown the machine it works fine. This
  happens with Precise 64 bit (x64) version: I used a daily build dated
  16th april and applied all updates. The previous (Beta2) version was
  showing the same issue, the 16th april build is showing the same issue,
  before and after updates.
  
  I also installed a 32 bit (x86) version on another partion and it does
  work fine! So this bug is affecting 64 bit version only!
  
  Upstream kernels I tested (3.2.15, 3.3, 3.4) do not fix this.
  
  WORKAROUND: reboot=pci
