This is the infamous Ubuntu server timeout problem. Ubuntu servers sometimes timeout. Ubuntu doesn't have the money to pay for a server farm large enough to handle the typical loads.
The easiest solution is to change the system settings in your package manager for "repositories" to use one of the many non-Ubuntu mirror servers. Exactly how to do that depends on which package manager you are using. Check your documentation if necessary. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/986929 Title: Can't download any package, message :"Check your internet connection : 'Failed to fetch http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/main/o/openssl/libssl1.0.0_1.0 .0e-2ubuntu4.2_i386.deb 404 Not Found [IP: 91.189.92.169 80]'" To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/software-center/+bug/986929/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
