Naming the override file unity-greeter.override did not work for me. According to http://developer.gnome.org/gio/2.32/GSettings.html, Vendor Overrides: "... glib-compile-schemas expects schema files to have the extension .gschema.override".
When I renamed the file to: com.canonical.unity-greeter.gschema.override then ran sudo glib-compile-schemas /usr/share/glib-2.0/schemas/ and rebooted, I got the desired result. This doesn't seem like a good solution to me. User customizations should be done via the system settings console. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/971158 Title: Overlay Grid is not disabled when modifying unity-greeter.conf To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug/971158/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
