We're using an NFS v4 (exported from a Solaris machine) for our home
directories. I can reproduce this bug by simply trying to start Pidgin.
Until (including) Ubuntu kernel version linux-image-3.2.0-21-generic it
was fine, i.e. if I reboot my machine with this kernel (selecting from
"Previous versions" in grub) everything is ok again. I hope this
3.2.0-23 won't make it in the final distro of Ubuntu 12.04 (at least not
with this bug in it).
