Closing the lightdm, unity, etc component the issue affect those but it's not in their code. The bug seems to mix several issues, could you get a stacktrace and an Xorg.0.log from a config having the issue, on precise would be better. It might be best to open a new bug report that to keep a confusing one mixing issues from different users accross configs and releases though
