I am able to Confirm this bug on Linux Mint 12 Lisa. Anyways, This is a
recently introduced Bug ( within the last couple of weeks ), and i am
able to reproduce the bug regardless of desktop environment ( Tested on
LXDE, Cinnamin, and GNOME 3 ).
Anyways, A temporary fix to this bug is to switch to a non-X11 termal (
CTRL +ALT+F1 ), and then back to the X11 terminal ( ALT+F1 ).
As for testing:
Set the Default Audio Output to the HDMI Port.
Start Playing a music File
Cycle the Monitor Power.
(At this Point The Sound stops)
Appy the Temporary fix Press CTRL+ALT+F1 and then ALT+F7.
(At this Point The Sound Resumes at whatever Position the Stream is)
