You can restore the original size. It's just greyed out - not
unselectable. I can select it perfectly fine. I'll change the bug to say
so.

** Summary changed:

- Icon Resize on desktop - "Restore Size" is unselectable
+ Icon Resize on desktop - "Restore Size" is greyed out

** Description changed:

  In 12.04:

If you put an icon on the desktop (In Gnome Fallback mode) you can right
click and select "resize icon".
  This works fine.

However, once you again click on the now-resized icon, the text that
- says "Restore Icon's Original Size" is not selectable.
-
- You have to manually resize it by eye, and that may not be perfect.
+ says "Restore Icon's Original Size" is greyed out - implying that it's
+ not selectable, when, in reality, it is.

Also, opening the desktop folder in a window, gives no options about
resizing - Similar to bug #402642
