Same issue for me. Using 12.04beta with Likewise (beyond trust). Could it be, that the Likewise users are not in the audio Group? Can we instead of fixing the Likewise-problem just set the audio system to allow all users instead of only users with audio group?
Ok it would be a workaround and no solution, but it would help for a while..
