Public bug reported:
This boot screen with "Ubuntu" and the dots works fine on the live CD. But
after installation it is either a blank black screen (mostly) or occasionally
a purple screen with "ubuntu" in a tiny terminal type character font.
On shutdown it usually shows purple screen with a tiny white ubuntu and some
console type message across the screen.
Logout briefly shows a black screen with tiny ubuntu text.
This is on a Dell E521 with an nVidia Geforce 7300 LE card using the
nouveau driver. 32 bit PAE kernel.
