In my case uninstalling Zim, the message dialog did appear to come from LSC. I did not receive a message from the notify daemon. Didn't realize that maybe I should. The notify daemon is crashing for me in general though. I typically get email or ubuntu one sync notifications, then a few seconds later I get a crash message and the little envelope in my taskbar disappears. In the later cases the message explicitly states notify daemon failed. In the LSC message it explicitly said Lubuntu Software Center encountered error and crashed.
