Hi Alex,
please excuse me that I didn't reply earlier. For me the situation is now like
this:
I uninstalled thunderbird (using synaptic), downloaded thunderbird directly
from mozilla site and installed this version manually with which I am still
working - for half a year now (present version: 1.5.0.12 (20070509)). There
were no problems with it. But I didn't try to install thunderbird with
synaptics again, so I don't know whether the problem would apear again if I
would install thunderbird with synaptic again. That's all I can say about this
topic.
