Public bug reported: Related: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/790755
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/882619 There is a fair bit unexpected behavior related with this bug so it's a bit hard to tie down, but it most certianly does not seem fixed. It's also not 100% deterministic, sometimes it goes bad on the first press, sometimes the 5th. It's also worse on 64bit installs. On a 32 bit install you actuate the buttom more then a few times before it hangs. Also: Note that in the second bug report, the user, who is running xfce as their desktop, does not appear to mention the problem. Note #2 That the E420s (which uses the same bios file!) does not seem to exibit the problem. Note #3 Ubuntu seems to detect the ACPI buttons as ASUS buttons. I have no idea who the ODM is, but I was fairly certain that Lenovo was in house, so perhaps this is a misdetect?
