My machine has similar problem (Asus UX31, using: i915.powersave=1 i915.i915_enable_rc6=1 i915.semaphores=1).
* Under Oneiric, the issue seemed to be gone until the latest kernel update. Since the last update, the machine would die suddenly if the battery has power left for about an hour. * Yesterday I updated to Precise Pangolin. The kernel is 3.2.0-24-generic. Whenever I plug the cable off, the machine dies. When running on battery, the machine dies in several states. I will try to use this 3.2.0-27 thing from above, when I find out how to do it. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/937378 Title: Patched kernel with rc6 enabled shutdowns To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/937378/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
