Public bug reported:
My LaCie Minimus 1TB external hard drive should work on USB 3 for best
performance, but nothing happens in Ubuntu when I connect it to a USB 3
port. If I plug it into a USB 2 port Ubuntu recognises it.
On the same computer I have Windows 7 installed, which does recognise
the drive when its connected to a USB 3 port.
