Public bug reported: relates to a fresh install of Ubuntu 12.04 at the terminal:
$ ubuntu-tweak (ubuntu-tweak:3825): GConf-WARNING **: : You can't use a GConfEngine that has an active GConfClient wrapper object. Use GConfClient API instead. see this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=11889897#post11889897 Some folk are experiencing a greeter problem. When one logins, the greeter will say, "Logging in..." but it never does so and simply stays on that screen. In looking at what's going on, it would seem that this tweak tool has a role to play in that situation... but we can't be sure. Please look at those posts and if there is info that we can provide, I'm sure that those who have posted will do so. ** Affects: ubuntu-tweak Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Affects: lightdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: greeter lightdm login ** Also affects: lightdm (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/991684 Title: lightdm greeter being affected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu-tweak/+bug/991684/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
