The crash file's indication that it died due to signal 25 marks this bug
as a duplicate of bug 75574. It's a kernel issue, and was originally by
design, as there were standards that at one time actually required this
behavior. This does not seem to be the case any more; a patch to the
kernel has been submitted, but it may be some time before someone can
take responsibility for it and merge it in upstream. The Ubuntu kernel
developers have indicated that they will not apply the patch until it
has been definitively accepted upstream.
