I also get this bug (Asus EeePC 1005HA) in 12.04 when resuming from suspend. I also have a related problem: I usually have an enlarged (1024x768) framebuffer and panning enabled through xrandr, and these disappear after resuming. This message is the only video-related error reported in syslog, so I assume they are connected. I also see the redraw that reply #3 describes; in fact, if I try (through a script in /etc/pm/sleep.d) to re-enable panning, if it runs before the redraw, then the panning is negated again; I have to sleep for a few seconds until it passes. This makes me think that the redraw is actually the framebuffer being restarted, if unsuccessfully.
