This bug is still active in 11.10 (0.2.104-0ubuntu1.2). GNU Emacs 23.3.1 Emacs is not correctly recognized:
when launching e.g. from the commandline with "emacs" the output of the above pasted program is: ** (process:15397): DEBUG: current file ** (process:15397): DEBUG: emacs@schwarz-UL30A However, a launcher entry is created which works (focus, arrows, etc). BUT, when launching from the dash or from the command line with the full path "/usr/bin/emacs23", the output is this: ** (process:15734): DEBUG: current file /usr/share/applications/emacs23.desktop ** (process:15734): DEBUG: GNU Emacs 23 BUT: no launcher entry is created! -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/690308 Title: bamf doesn't return the .desktop of all apps (emacs) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/bamf/+bug/690308/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
