Public bug reported:
After upgrading a 10.04 server to 12.04 i am realizing that smokeping
doesn’t work anymore.
Visiting the smokeping url gives:
####
>> Software error:
>> ERROR: /etc/smokeping/config, line 42: File '/etc/smokeping/smokemail' does
>> not exist
The smokeping config file is still refering in the General Section to a
smokemail parameter
>> smokemail = /etc/smokeping/smokemail
But the file smokemail doesn’t exist anymore - nor do i find something about it
via apt.
Commenting out that line ends up in the following error:
>> Software error:
>> ERROR: /etc/smokeping/config (General): mandatory variable 'smokemail' not
>> defined
Is that my fault - overseeing something obvious here - or is there an
error/bug/regression with that package in 12.04?
In case i can offer more details/Informations- please tell me what you
might need.
Best regards
fidel
