Amir, I've had 4 machines with NVidia drivers. One is fine with the 295.40 driver. One is fine with the nouveau driver, including 3D. On the other two machines the nouveau driver will only work in 2G. The nouveau driver seems to have different capabilities with different versions of NVidia.
